As we study the birth and death of Jesus, there seems to be a close connection between the two events. Especially when you consider, Your own birth (or being reborn) into the family of Jesus Christ.
These verses below report not only the events of Jesus’s birth, but also all the miracles God orchestrated for this to happen.
Susan & I can’t help but remember the countless times we attended Christmas, Easter and church in general, just going through the motions.
Why does it take so long to connect the dots? We do know this–That our God is a loving and patient God!
Once he pursues us he never quits pursuing us!
Our prayer for each and everyone who reads this, Don’t wait until God has to humble you by catching your attention, that hurts!
Who would have ever known that we (Bruce and Susan Woerner) would be chosen by God to be saved from our heathen lives into our spiritual lives, follow his son Jesus, and draw closer and closer to HIM…
Thank you LORD !!
Our family is so thankful for Jesus!

Luke 1:26-30(NIV) The Birth of Jesus Foretold
“In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.”
Matthew 1:18–21 (NIV) Joseph Accepts Jesus as His Son:
“This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
Luke 2 (NIV) The Birth of Jesus
“In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to their own town to register.
So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
1 Peter 1:3 (NIV ) Praise to God for a Living Hope
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
